Solar Panels Plus LLC and Rheem Form Distribution Partnership

Solar Panels Plus, LLC (SPP) has become a distribution partner of Rheem Manufacturing Company. SPP is now an authorized national distributor of Rheem Water Heating products, including the Rheem line of Solaraide solar heat exchanger tanks.

Highly efficient and cost effective heat exchanger tanks are an important component in residential and commercial solar water heating applications, said John Williams, COO of Solar Panels Plus. Rheem tanks provide the best overall value and they have long history of building high-quality products, which led to this strategic partnership, Williams said.

In a solar water heater (http://www.solarpanelsplus.com) system, special coatings on the evacuated collector tubes are activated when exposed to sunlight, causing the collector temperature to reach upwards of 300 degrees. A water-glycol solution is circulated through the collectors, which transfers the heat into a built-in heat exchanger in the water tank, heating the water. A typical solar water heating system can provide hot water for a family of 4-6 people with larger and smaller systems available.
