December 29, 2004 -- E Med Future, Inc. (OTCBB: http://finance.yahoo.com/qs=EMDF.OB [EMDF]) has received a five million dollar
($5,000,000) purchase order for NeedleZap, a device that disintegrates used injection needles, from the International Africa AIDS Foundation, said Dane Donohue, Executive Vice
President.
According to Donohue, Ray Bailey, Chairman of The International Africa AIDS Foundation, a private foundation, plans to distribute NeedleZap units throughout the 54 African countries
during the first half of 2005. The terms of the purchase order require the Foundation to prepay for all NeedleZap units prior to shipment.
"We are pleased that The International Africa AIDS Foundation has included NeedleZap as part of their effort to focus on eliminating the re-use of contaminated needles as a way to help
curtail the spread of HIV/AIDS on the African continent," said Donohue. A recent report released by the United Nations estimates that 25.4 million people in sub-Saharan Africa are
infected with HIV, an increase of 1 million from the 2003 report.
NeedleZap is currently being used in hospitals and clinics in the African countries of Uganda and Ghana. In addition, dignitaries and Ambassadors from more than 20 African nations
attended a formal introduction of NeedleZap in Washington, D.C. last month.
