California Injured Workers Plan Die in October 30th to Protest Congressman...



Attempting to kill two birds with one stone, California injured workers will hold a 's8220;die in's8221; at the Congressional offices of John T. Doolittle, co-located with the workers's8217; compensation offices of the Adventist Health System at 2130 Professional Drive, Roseville, California on October 30th, 2006.



's8220;We are sick of the culture of corruption that seems to fester in Placer County,'s8221; commented injured worker Larry Nign. 's8220;We want to make it clear that (we believe) Congressman Doolittle must be booted out of office,'s8221; he continued.



Rep. Doolittle acts as the GOP's8217;s secretary for party affairs in the House of Representatives. The recent debacle with former Congressman Mark Foley has shifted attention to those in the House leadership that had prior knowledge of the inappropriate e-mails sent by Foley to House pages with sexual content.



's8220;It is fitting to conduct the protest at the office building where Congressman Doolittle maintains an office next to the workers's8217; compensation unit of the Adventist Health System,'s8221; said Barb Clark, a registered nurse who has an on-going civil racketeering lawsuit against the hospital chain (see Kern County Superior Court of Bakersfield, Case No. S-1500-CV-0000245966).



Clark, who has been the target of 32 restraining orders issued against her by the Placer County Superior Court (Auburn) at the request of the Adventist hospital chain, is planning to make a symbolic appearance 101 yards from the protest site. The restraining orders require her to stay at least 100 yards from the 2130 Professional Drive building.



's8220;This is our Alamo. We are fed up with the broken system called workers's8217; compensation in California. It should be re-named the insurance company executive compensation system,'s8221; Nign said, referring to record industry profits by insurance companies in California.
