We achieved all of that with the relaunch and just made the whole site easier to use and sharper in appearance.

In the Company Reviews section, readers can share their personal experience with given companies. We don'st want to divorce insurance coverage from the personal, collaborative angle, said Overby. Just because it'ss online doesn'st mean we forget that we'sre dealing with real people who have unique stories that can help us and other readers.

In conceptualizing the new design, the latest Auto Insurance Reviews (http://www.carinsurancelist.com/auto-insurance-reviews.htm) have been placed on the front page for ease of access, with the main menu displayed in a gray bar across the top of the page. A right-hand menu directs readers to such topics as Accident Statistics (http://www.carinsurancelist.com/car-accident-statistics.htm) and Crash Tests. In a design sense, said Overby, we wanted to put everything in plain sight. A web page that makes the user hunt and peck around to find the pertinent information just isn'st doing its job.

CarInsuranceList offers readers fast access to insurance quotes by zip code. A list of major companies is returned with bulleted basic information allowing the visitor to move to the next level of a rate search at the provider'ss own site. This painless process, married to in-depth background research and up-to-date industry tips, makes CarInsuranceList a one-stop-shop for all aspects of the automotive insurance search. The editors invite consumer questions, comments, and ideas.
