Pharos Systems International, the leading provider of Enterprise Print Asset Management software solutions, is pleased to announce the launch of version 2.2 of the Pharos Integrated Multifunction Printer (iMFP) solution for Hewlett-Packard, which provides users access to Pharos Uniprint or Pharos Blueprint Enterprise from the touch-screen control panel of HP multifunction printers.
In line with HP's Print 2.0 strategy, the new software release demonstrates Pharos Systems' continuing commitment to the MFP as a key driver of productivity improvements and cost
reduction. According to Kevin Pickhardt, CEO of Pharos Systems, "Integrating the Pharos solution with HP MFPs makes these productivity tools even more productive."
With version 2.2, the Pharos iMFP solution for HP now has the capability to:
- Run on the new HP LaserJet M9040/M9050 MFPs and Color LaserJet CM6030/CM6040 MFPs. This brings the number of HP MFPs supported by Pharos Systems to eleven, including four LaserJet MFPs
(M3035, M4345, M5025, M5035), the Color LaserJet CM4730 MFP, and the CM8050/CM8060 Color MFPs with Edgeline Technology.
- Enable users to continue copying and tracking pages in the event of a network failure or power outage.
- Provide additional safeguards against abuse. Users with insufficient funds to make a copy are not permitted to log on to the printer. They are informed of their current balance and of
the minimum balance required to log on.
- Offer an enhanced Demo Mode, which enables a stand-alone demonstration of the system's operating capabilities.
