BOOOZAH Growth Leads to Royal Ice Creams Manufacturing Facility

BOOOZAH, the Phoenician Frozen Dessert Company [WWW.BOOOZAH.COM, producing Middle Eastern style Ice Cream, is teaming up with Manchester, CT based Royal Ice Cream Company.



With a steady growth the past 12 months, Booozah is expanding its production facility by teaming up with Royal Ice Cream. 's8220;'s8230;when we started producing Booozah out of our facility in Stow, we started with a single Batch Freezer and did everything by hand's8230;'s8221; Said Karim Raad, owner of Booozah LLC. 's8220;'s8230;today, with more than 30 Retail outlets, and going after the foodservice market, we no longer can keep up production with what we started, we needed a bigger facility, and a much more streamlined production environment. The only way to accomplish this goal in short order, and without a huge capital expense, was to find someone to co-package with, and after looking at a few options, we selected Royal Ice Cream.'s8221; continued Raad.



Co-packaging is a common occurrence these days for ice cream manufacturers. With the high cost of building a production facility, many manufacturers opt into using already established facilities, in essence outsourcing their production. Often, established production plants, end up with down time, which now can be filled by co-packaging for others. Based on Middle Eastern ice cream recipes, and because its ingredients are different than many other ice creams currently produced by Royal Ice Cream, some adjustments were necessary. 's8220;'s8230;it really did not take long for Jim and his team to adjust for the Booozah process, Jim has extensive knowledge about making ice cream, he ought to, since Royal Ice Cream has been his family's8217;s business starting with his father in 1926..'s8221; said Raad, 's8220;'s8230;Royal Ice Cream produces a long line of Ice Cream products for both the retail and foodservice industry, they also co-package for a dozen other companies, and we are very happy to be part of their family.
