EUE Screen Gems Studios Building Massive F X Tank Lot is Hot With Stars...

After the September groundbreaking for the new Stage 10 (www.stage10nc.com) with its uber-sized tank, EUE/Screen Gems is buzzing. Check out the news.

>    Recently released Nights in Rodanthe (Warner Bros. Pictures) and The Secret Life of Bees (Fox Searchlight Films) based production operations at the largest studio facility east of California. Both production teams took full advantage of services provided on EUE/Screen Gems Studios's 50-acre lot in Wilmington, NC.

>    Hit CW Network TV series One Tree Hill adds two episodes to sixth season. Warner Bros. Television just announced the CW Network'ss series order increase. EUE/Screen Gems Studios has been the series's production home since the pilot was shot in the winter of 2003. One Tree Hill will continue production at the Wilmington studios into April 2009--original shows are scheduled to air through May.

>    The HBO series Eastbound and Down recently wrapped first season production at the facilities of EUE/Screen Gems in Wilmington, NC. Danny McBride, Ben Best and Jody Hill, alumni of the North Carolina School of the Arts, comprise the show'ss creative team. McBride also stars, and Will Farrell is Executive Producer. The first episode airs on HBO in February.

>    Little Britain USA, a hit series for HBO, anticipates renewal for its second season of filming at EUE/Screen Gems. More news to come!

>    Producers are putting the finishing touches on The Great Observer, a black 's38; white homage to jazz originator Buddy Bolden. Filmed at EUE/Screen Gems Studios, the feature will travel as part of a multi-media tour with jazz icon Wynton Marsalis and his orchestra.

>    Three films recently produced at EUE/Screen Gems Studios in Wilmington, NC are scheduled for release in 2009:

- The Mark Pease Experience from Paramount-Vantage starring Ben Stiller and Jason Schwartzman

- Thriller-horror sequel Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever from Lionsgate

- Good Old Fashioned Orgy starring Will Forte, Lake Bell, Jason Sudeikis and Don Johnson.
