Point Capital Partners (www.pointcap.com), a Chatham, NJ based venture capital and merchant banking firm, today announced the launch of a new IT integration business that will focus on providing turnkey technology solutions to small businesses with an initial focus on alternative investment firms.
Point Capital has named Kirk Johnson, a Hedge Fund Technology veteran, to head FBG. Kirk has over ten years of experience in Information Technology, including the last eight years in the
Hedge Fund industry. His initial exposure in the industry was as a network engineer for a Eze Castle Integration in NYC from 2001-2004, where he worked on several large projects including
new implementations, relocations and disaster recovery services. In 2004, he was hired as Vice President of Operations at Stadia Capital, where he managed the entire technology
infrastructure, was responsible for their office relocation, designed and maintained their BCP and Disaster Recovery Site and maintained all vendor relations.
We see an opportunity in the marketplace for a highly talented IT provider who understands the infrastructure needs of investment firms and other entrepreneurial enterprises to deliver
superior service at a better value than existing providers, Richard Swift, Managing Partner of Point Capital said. We'sve tasked Kirk to emulate what he did at Stadia Capital and provide
that as a service for the entire industry.
