Here is an opportunity for all of us to perform an important deed and to help give life to many people who are desperately in need living under sub-human conditions. Thousands of Jews
still live in Ethiopia, Left behind after Operation Solomon came to an abrupt end over ten years ago when Sudan, a Moslem country, was publicly embarrassed for helping the Ethiopian Jews
make their way from their famine engulfed country to the Holy Land. Ethiopia is the country that is referred to in the Bible as the land of Cush. Thus, the history of the Ethiopian Jews
goes back to the days of Kings David and Solomon.
The House of Reuben is a non-profit foundation set up to enable Ethiopian Jews to emigrate to Israel, to reunite with their families and friends, and to educate them so that they can
avail themselves of the economic opportunities in Israel. But Israel is in need of funds to help the Ethiopian Jews already there. Monies received by the House of Reuben will be forwarded
to the North American Conference on Ethiopian Jewry (NACOEJ) and will help provide more than adequate housing, quality education and much needed health care to Ethiopians who have chosen
to return to their ancestral homeland. No gift is too small or too large.
House of Reuben accepts gifts to help the foundation achieve its goal. It seeks the support of people of all faiths. It is the only non-profit organization in the U.S. that is totally
committed to the welfare of the Ethiopian Jews.
