DataLab USA, the Germantown, MD-based provider of data-based decision support solutions for the education market was recognized at the 35th Annual Champion Leadership Awards for its work
in developing an online decision support application for school systems.
This year's8217;s event, hosted by Congressman Major R. Owens and the Educational Technology Think Tank, brought together influential leaders from the public, private, and nonprofit
community to recognize educators who are transforming education in traditionally underserved communities across America through the use of new, pioneering technologies.
This year, DataLab USA was recognized in conjunction with eighteen Principals in the Baltimore City Public School System. The Principals were participants in the Principal Seminar on
Data-Based Decision Making for Congressional Recognition; a program in which the participants spent a week in an intensive hands-on, total immersion class to enhance their skills in using
technological tools to access and analyze data to raise student achievement.
The data-based decision support system, designed and built by DataLab USA, allows educators to identify the specific learning needs of students and detects areas requiring more effective
and efficient instructional strategies. The system allows for the development of whole-school and classroom interventions to ignite a passion for teaching and learning.
