Kids MusicRound Begins Classes at the Harmony School in Princeton NJ...



Early childhood music teacher training prepares Kids's8217; MusicRound® instructors to tap into a young child's8217;s natural curiosity for learning. Kids's8217; MusicRound® strives to provide a classroom setting rich in opportunities for musical play, discovery, and creativity through music for young children. It is with this initiative that Kids's MusicRound® will begin classes at The Harmony School, Princeton Forrestal Village, Princeton, NJ for early childhood music development starting in 2006 in a further expansion of its current success.



Barbara Lysenko, the co-founder and director of Kids's MusicRound® has forged this joint venture to augment the music teaching program that has gained wide acclaim over the past several years.



Kids's MusicRound® philosophy is based on the belief that early childhood is the optimum time to nurture musical ability. Research has shown an environment that is abundant in musical experiences will sustain the musical ability or intelligence that is present at birth. Young children learn quickly through modeling, and there are no better models than the important people surrounding the child - the enjoyment and love of music is readily passed on to a child from someone special.



Kids's8217; MusicRound® also believes in a developmentally appropriate approach to learning. Each child is allowed to explore, discover, and enjoy the activities at his or her own unique developmental level. Instructors with Kids's8217; MusicRound® recognize the need for a stimulating learning environment. Children and families explore music through moving, singing, chanting rhythmic rhymes, playing basic instruments, and partaking in other fun-filled musical activities that fill the room with excitement. The varied activities complement the different learning styles of children, and families are asked to enjoy the process and appreciate each developmental stage as it happens.



With the principles of Dr. Edwin Gordon's8217;s Music Learning Theory and Dalcroze Eurhythmics woven within the program, Kids's8217; MusicRound® provides quality home materials to support the curriculum. A great deal of time has been taken to produce materials of the highest quality. With these materials, and ideas generated from the classroom, parents create musical excitement with their children at home or in the car. Supplying a song collection that is a refreshing combination of traditional music, world folk music, and original compositions, Kids's8217; MusicRound® encourages adults to connect musically with their children.
