Online Charity DonorsChoose.org Joins Mustaches for Kids to Benefit...

Online charity (www.donorschoose.org) DonorsChoose.org and the Mustaches For Kids campaign are growing strong. Hundreds of men in over 20 cities nationwide have been growing sweet mustaches to support public school classrooms on DonorsChoose.org.

Similar to a charity walk-a-thon, Mustache For Kids challenges Growers to raise pledges for their mustaches during Growing Season from mid-November to mid-December. Growers create online GivingPages to compete by city, employer, and college for the most dollars raised by their mustaches. All proceeds will fund teacher projects on DonorsChoose.org a nonprofit website linking donors with classrooms in need.

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Roy Williams (donorschoose.org/RoyWilliams) and NASCAR Driver Kenny Wallace will join the Mustaches For Kids effort, which has raised nearly one million dollars for children'ss charities since its inception in 1999. DonorsChoose.org is a nonprofit website where any public school teacher can post a classroom project request--whether it'ss a set of footballs, a field trip to the zoo, or any resource that will help students learn. Individual donors, like you, can then choose the specific project you want to support, and you'sll get photographs and thank-you letters from the students and teacher you chose to help.
