Amber Alert Founder UnVeils New Stamp amp New Book

Pastor Charles Williams, the name may not be popular but what he did is now a house hold name across America and around the world. Pastor Williams, a 48 year old black pastor from Fort Worth, Texas, is the person who is responsible for the concept that is now known as the Amber Alert System in America & Canada and known as the Child Rescue Alert In Europe.



Though the stamp is named in honor of a kidnapped and murdered child out of Arlington, Texas in 1996, the stamp highlights the success of the programme that was suggested to a local D/FW radio talk show host and local law enforcement by Pastor Charles Williams. Pastor Williams has been silent for 9 years about this until the release of the new best selling book Faces Of The Amber Alert which can be purchased through Amazon.com or any major book retailer.



The U.S. Postal Service has printed 80 million stamps to help raise awareness to the Amber Alert System and I believe that if it helps to save 1 child because somebody took the extra seconds just to look around, then it'ss worth it. Pastor Charles Williams and his family now reside in Ohio, and he does speaking engagements and book signings across the country.



From a little phone call at work in a warehouse, he almost lost his job for using the phone when he was not supposed to. But, for some reason he just didn'st care about that on that day in January 1996; and because of that call 266 families have received their children back safely as a result of the call that created the Amber Alert.



Williams said, When I think about the stamp, I think about how my family was on food stamps at that time In Texas; and how he has gone from food stamps to first class stamps as the result of that call.



Williams also asks that people continue to pray for Amber'ss family every time that the Amber Alert goes out. It'ss a reminder to the family that we were not able to save her child, and that'ss a hurting thing that we all deal with 1 day at a time.



The Amber Alert as it is now used around the world today in countries where it is made law for both children and its use in homeland security in America has a net worth of over 2.23 Trillion dollars in trackable funds and it protects every child in every major country.
