Contigo, the leading provider of turn-key GPS solutions for asset tracking, fleet management and personal safety, is pleased to announce that the Contigo 8200 beacon is now enabled with an optional panic button feature for executive protection, personnel security and law enforcement applications.
This feature is a custom developed BREW application resident on the beacon that when activated, alerts the appropriate parties via email, cell phone or to a third-party security alarm
monitoring company. Integrated central station incident handling and location-aware PSAP data work together to immediately identify the appropriate local authorities in the event of an
emergency. The Contigo 8200 fits snugly in a holster or belt clip and provides up to 10 days of battery life on a single charge.
"Contigo is the first in the location based services industry to provide a panic button enabled GPS device using Qualcomm's gpsOne (NASDAQ: QCOM)," commented Rob Goehring, Vice President
of Product Management and Marketing for Contigo. "This enhanced feature, now an option on any 8200 beacon, further increases the value of this solution, expanding the addressable markets
that will benefit from this advanced form of GPS technology."
The Contigo 8200 will be on display at ISC East in New York from September 11 through 12 at booth 2035, and at ASIS International in Las Vegas from September 24 through 26 at booth 777.
