International Biometric Group (IBG) is hosting a free webcast on standoff iris recognition technologies on Thursday, June 11th at 1:00 pm EST.
Advances in optics and illumination have driven development of iris recognition technologies capable of identifying individuals at a distance and on the move. Government agencies are
examining cutting-edge applications for fast, accurate stand-off iris recognition systems in high-volume, non-cooperative applications.
IBG was recently contracted by the Public Security Technical Program, an initiative of Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC), to test standoff iris recognition systems for
enhanced surveillance during major events.
In this 30-minute webcast, IBG Consultant Olga Raskin will discuss the following:
* Capabilities and features of state-of-the art standoff iris recognition systems
* Approaches taken by iris recognition vendors such as AOptix, Retica, Sarnoff, Hoyos, and Honeywell
* Standoff iris recognition applications
* Current projects and implementations
