LifePrints Helps Find New Jersey Children

More than 797,000 children are reported missing each year, of which approximately 60,000 are non-family abductions. And for the parents of the 692 children reported missing in the last year who have yet to be found, each day is agonizing.

Life-Prints Child Protection Technology is a revolutionary new digital ID system, which uses a new generation of proprietary computer software to collect a child's8217;s photographs, descriptive as well as medical information, and digital fingerprints. When a child goes missing, this information can be transmitted digitally to law enforcement officials, allowing them to begin the search immediately rather than spending time collecting basic information. By minimizing the time spent on information gathering, law enforcement can begin the search for a child sooner 's8211; and improve the odds that the child will be found. According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the first three hours are critical in finding a child. Traditional wisdom is that a child must be found within 24 hours 's8211; but in reality, the window of opportunity is much smaller.

Another key component of the Life-Prints digital ID system is that information and photographs can be updated as often as necessary. 's8220;It will make the all-important current photo of the child more readily available to local law enforcement. Officers know how to take advantage of that photo and information to get an alert distributed immediately,'s8221; says Todd Bower of Critical Reach, the police bulletin system used throughout New Jersey.

In an effort to reach and protect as many children as possible, Life-Prints Child Protection Technology will be available at the New Jersey Hot Air Balloon Festival July 28-30th.The booth will offer more information about this new generation technology. Operators will be on hand to take digital fingerprints and photographs and to show parents how Life-Prints Child Protection Technology can help protect their children. The festival takes place on the grounds of the Solberg Airport, 37 Thor Solberg Road, Whitehorse Station, NJ. More information about the Balloon Festival is available at www.balloonfestival.com.
