Two More Firms Choose A Thin nFlow Solution
Digital dictation developer nFlow has reported that over of the last 12 months it has a seen a significant increase in sales of its Citrix and Terminal Services thin client solutions. It added that its unique distributed storage architecture made the nFlow solution more efficient and versatile than other DDS solutions, complimenting the goal of thin client technology much better.
The latest firms to adopt the solution are Manchester firm Dootsons LLP, who have implemented 22 users over a Citrix infrastructure, covering 3 offices, and Ipswich firm Gotelee & Goldsmith who are near to completing implementation of 75 users, over 2 offices, on Microsoft Terminal Services. The implementations included a mixed terminal environment, with the majority of the users using Wyse Winterms, but in the case of Gotelee and Goldsmith, a limited number of users are using PCs and laptops. Performance, particularly speed of operation, has been impressive, with users seeing no difference to using a normal PC. nFlow say that, in the typical multi office thin client implementation, their distributed storage architecture has made the solution viable where other DDS systems, that stream audio back and forward, would probably not have worked.
Commenting on their implementation Dootsons LLP IT Manager, Steve Rayson says, We implemented Citrix to provide a consistent user service across our offices whilst centralising administration of our system. The introduction of support by DDS suppliers for this kind of infrastructure meant we could still take advantage of the technology. We selected nFlow because it seemed easier to use but still had better functionality. Its unique support for a distributed storage architecture offered us scalability that other solutions couldn's8217;t. The project has gone extremely well and we have quickly seen the benefits of reallocating transcription across our organisation, particularly when staff resources are low within a department or office. I must say that nFlow have given us a friendly, helpful service and shown a total commitment to the project and support. The documentation provided is excellent. They are the best software company I have worked with.
Brian Scott, Practice Manager at Gotelee & Goldsmith continues, We chose nFlow because we felt that in a time when some DDS suppliers where still in the fledgling stages with their thin client solutions, nFlow had the best reputation for working with customers to deliver a successful solution. The software has proven it self to work very well and users, who are mostly using Wyse Winterm units with only limited computing power, have reported a good experience using it. The nFlow project management and engineering team have worked hard and diligently to deal with any issues that we have had. I can only add that the faith we put in nFlow, that they would work with us to deliver a successful digital dictation solution to our users, has easily been borne out. In our view they deserve the reputation they have for customer focus.
nFlow conclude that whilst there are now a number of providers that can deliver thin client solutions, only a limited number can offer both Citrix and Terminal Services solutions. nFlow add that even amongst the main suppliers nFlow's8217;s foresight to spend time on developing a versatile solution means it can give customers more flexible and cost effective options than its competitors.
