Philadelphia, PA August 20, 2007 -- The Federation of Exchange Accommodators (FEA) announced today the complete speaker lineup for the Annual Conference for professionals in the 1031 Exchange industry, scheduled for October 4-6, 2007 in Chicago, IL at The Westin Michigan Avenue. The conference is especially timely as the 1031 Exchange Industry is undergoing historic changes that will be discussed throughout the conference , along with first time small business resources offerings. Attendees who register before August 31 will receive a discount of $75 per delegate.

The FEA is the only national trade organization formed to represent the Qualified Intermediary industry and the interests of consumers who use these services. Qualified Intermediaries are professionals who are trained to execute 1031 Exchanges. FEA members also include the legal/tax advisers and affiliated businesses that are directly involved in Section 1031 Exchanges. Section 1031 of the Internal Revenue Code provides that no gain or loss shall be recognized on the exchange of property held for productive use in a trade or business, or for investment.

David Lereah, current Vice President of Move Inc. and former chief economist of the National Association of REALTORS (NAR), will deliver the Conference Keynote. The following industry leaders will also present: Richard Lipton, Esq. of Baker & McKenzie on Partnership Issues, Greg Marques of Deloitte Tax, LLP on State Tax Withholding and Robert Wood, Esq. on using Structured Installment Sales as a fallback to save failed 1031 Exchanges.

On Thursday, October 4, pre-conference highlights include the opportunity to take the Industry's Certified Exchange Specialist Exam and two boot camps: the first on Marketing and the second covering the ins and outs of how to execute a 1031 Exchange.

Regulatory issues affecting the future of the 1031 Exchange industry will be discussed, including: the FEA's petition for regulatory action, now pending with the Federal Trade Commission; regulatory schemes being proposed in several states and the anticipated final IRS regulations under 468B and 7872.

On Saturday, October 6, the Installation of Officers will take place during a Luncheon at the Westin Hotel. Mary Foster, CES will be inducted as the new president of the FEA at this time. Her tenure as President of the association will begin immediately following the conference .
