Serengeti Enhances EBilling Matter Management for Over 27000 CounselSerengeti Tracker 66 Delivers New Features to both Inhouse and Outside Counsel

May 20, 2005 -- Serengeti Law today announced the release of Serengeti Tracker 6.6, which adds more than thirty new enhancements to its Web-based electronic billing and matter management system. The features in this release are available for immediate use without additional charge for the more than 27,000 in-house and outside counsel in 125 countries who are currently working together on Serengeti Tracker.

"This is the tenth upgrade of Serengeti Tracker since its initial release three years ago, said Tom Melling, Serengeti's Vice-President of Product Development. "It reflects Serengeti's commitment to meet the evolving needs of the legal profession, incorporating the best practices and recommendations from system users into several major upgrades each year."

Law Department Management Reports
In order to make the most of the financial, status, and results information captured by Tracker, management reports and data export capabilities have been enhanced. Additional ad hoc reports within Serengeti include workload inventory analysis, inactive matter information, and enhanced outside counsel performance reports (including both objective data and subjective law department evaluations). For law departments who want to perform further analysis using their own spreadsheet or reporting software, data export capabilities have been supplemented to include budget details and other information in addition to matter data fields.

Enhanced Search
This release includes new search capabilities to access the rapidly growing base of users and information in Serengeti Tracker. In-house counsel can quickly locate information about any of the more than 22,000 outside counsel who are in the Tracker Worldwide Directory of Firms (all of whom are working on Serengeti with one or more clients). Searches can be performed by jurisdiction, practice area, name, and other key criteria to find the right counsel for a new project. For attorneys who have represented the company in the past, law department evaluations are provided, along with the attorney's profile and contact information. Attorneys who have not represented the company can be added to the law department's panel with a single click.

Streamlined search capabilities are also available throughout a law department's entire Tracker database. Such functionality makes it easy for users to find specific projects, invoices, file numbers (company and law firm), and other users throughout the Serengeti Tracker system.

Security
In addition to current configurations that ensure the security of user login and password credentials, more options have been added, including the ability to set policies requiring that passwords be changed by all users over specified time periods. In addition, data integrity is further protected by providing authorized users access to audit histories that monitor changes in data, users, and system options.

Ease of Use
New features also facilitate the delivery of electronic billing information to the company's accounting department. Law departments have a full range of options to send invoice information to accounts payable systems, from email of data in .zip files (including electronic copies of invoices) to a fully automated interface, for a single A/P system or multiple systems.

Document collaboration has been enhanced by permitting the uploading of document reference links to external document management systems, in addition to current functionality for uploading electronic copies of documents, spreadsheets, and other files.
