Lehman and Carone Lecture to a New Audience in Southern Italy

On December 15, 2005, Mr. Edward Lehman, managing partner of the Chinese law firm "Lehman, Lee & Xu" and Mr. Marco Carone, managing partner of the Italian law firm "Carone & Partners" have met several entrepreneurs during a conference held at the Industrial Association in Bari (Italy).



The conference, organized by Carone & Partners together with "Confindustria Bari" (the local industrial association), is the first event of this kind held in Southern Italy.



More than seventy companies attended the event, as well as the press (television and business magazines), and several representatives of business associations.



Edward Lehman delivered a very interesting speech on how to do business in China, how to protect the intangibles of the Italian companies in that market and how to avoid the most common mistakes made by foreign investors when entering the Chinese market.



Marco Carone gave several insights on Italian international tax and business law with respect to investments in China, and provided the entrepreneurs with some advice on how to negotiate with a Chinese party.



At the end of the conference, many companies asked for a face-to-face meeting with the two attorneys. Words of appreciation came from the Industrial Association and from many entrepreneurs who attended the event.
