SOX Institute Announces Special SarbanesOxley SOX Training December...

New York November 24, 2008 -- The SOX Institute at The GRC Group (http://www.grcg.com/sox-class-dec-2008/) today announced that it will conduct a three-day training in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Act Section 404 Internal Controls over Financial Reporting implementation on December 15-17, 2008, in the New York area.

Section 404 is arguably the most vague section of the Act, and it is the most costly to implement, Anand said.

During the first day of training, attendees will learn about Section 404 controls documentation through examining case studies and completing real-world exercises designed to teach best practices for COSO/COBIT internal control documentation. On the second day, SOX Section 404 entity- and activity-level control testing will be covered, while the third day is dedicated to Section 404 project management. Day three provides attendees with the 'sbig picture's of Section 404, which is critical to sustaining cost-effective compliance, said Anand. This three-day program is well-suited to the needs of companies just embarking on their SOX 404 journey, as well as to those companies and professionals who are well on their way into years two, three, four, and five, he added.
