Kolache Factory Opens First Atlanta Restaurant



January 19, 2005 -- Kolache Factory, a favorite quick-service, bakery-caf that is all the rage of Houstonians, has opened its first Southeast restaurant 3 in Brook Plaza at 1560 Indian Trail Lilburn Rd, Suite 114 in Norcross. The restaurant will offer in-store tastings and catered events to both businesses and the community while offering its customers the opportunity to "Eat Different."

Owner Jack Lerman moved to Atlanta four years ago from Houston and missed the kolaches found there so much he was inspired to open the restaurant and bring it to Atlanta. Houston-based Kolache Factory currently has 14 company-owned and five franchise stores in Houston, TX; three franchise stores in Indianapolis; one in St. Louis and Denver and one in McAllen, TX. Additional bakery-cafes will soon be open in Tampa, Cincinnati, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Washington, DC, and San Antonio.

The company was recently featured on the Food Network. Unlike quick-service establishments that serve ordinary fare such as doughnuts and hamburgers, Kolache Factory offers its customers the opportunity to 'Eat Different'."

The freshly baked kolaches served at Kolache Factory are a modern variation of the pastry roll that originated in Eastern Europe centuries ago. The company serves a wide range of kolaches that are appropriate for breakfast, as well as a multitude that are suitable for lunch and dinner, and even consumed as satisfying, tasty snacks.

The restaurant's freshly baked kolaches are a popular product best described as a slightly sweet, pastry roll filled with a variety of ingredients ranging from to fruit to cheese and meat, and are appropriate to eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Gourmet coffees and a variety of traditional pastries including croissants, cinnamon rolls and strudel niks, are also available to Kolache Factory customers.

The store will be open from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 7 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. The store number will be 678-924-0375.
