Furnished Quarters donates gently used furniture to the only program in New York City that gives furniture, free of charge, to formerly homeless families. Over 1,600 items of furniture, electronics and housewares were donated to Furnish a Future, a program run by The Partnership for the Homeless.
The owners of Furnished Quarters felt that in this tough economy it was important to keep their commitment to community support and decided to donate all gently used furniture from its
corporate apartments to Furnish a Future. While Furnished Quarters continues to upgrade apartments, they want to ensure that someone benefits from this furniture.
During tough times it is important to give back to the community. Many people are in trouble and it is our responsibility to give what we can to help families in need of basic home
necessities, said Steve Brown, Co-founder 's38; CEO of Furnished Quarters. We pride ourselves on providing a home away from home for our clients and wish to apply the same philosophy to
our charitable donations.
Furnished Quarters frequently upgrades their apartments to stay up to date with the style and design their clients have come to expect and will continue to donate to Furnish a Future.
