UK Wedding Directory Nears 20000 Page Views per Month
Most other wedding directories in the United Kingdom charge wedding suppliers for their directory listings and then make additional revenues from advertising on top. By contrast, the UK Wedding Directory funds the directory through advertisements alone. Initially, ads were sourced solely from the Google Adsense programme. However, the site has now started to sell yearly category sponsor positions and whole-site sponsorship.
Says David Viney, UK Wedding Directory Site Manager: 's8220;Any supplier can list at our site for free and all we ask is for a high-quality and consistent reciprocal link back to the Directory. We aim to become the leading directory of our type by the end of 2007, with a #1 ranking on Google, MSN and Yahoo!'s8221;
Progress since launch:
In the three months since launch, the UK Wedding Directory (see http://www.uk-wedding-directory.com) has listed over 350 UK wedding suppliers. The directory received 7,636 unique visitors in September 2006 and 19,390 page views (a increase of more than 40% on August).
