Hot Blooded Males Versus Ice Maidens

Women in the UK say they'd rather walk out than stand unbearably cold conditions in the home, according to a new report by Glow-worm.

New research* commissioned by Glow-worm, one of the UK's leading manufacturers of heating appliances, shows that the nation's household temperatures are leading to seriously heated arguments. Nationally, 15% of women say that they normally feel cold at home compared to just 3% of men, with an incredible 67% of people saying they've wanted to leave a house altogether because of the unbearable temperature.

Things are getting heated, with nearly 40% of people arguing about the temperature at home.

But despite so many people getting hot under the collar, an astonishing 68% of people said they would be more upset by the breakdown of their car, computer or fridge freezer than their boiler.

People seem to place boilers as a low priority in achieving household harmony, with over twice as many people spending several days to choose a new washing machine or dishwasher compared to the purchase of a new central heating boiler.
