Meeting Place Offer the Chance of Free Full Membership to all its Subscribers



June 19, 2005 -- Meeting Place announced on Wednesday that it would give 7 days free full membership to all of its existing members who have uploaded a photograph and written more than 100 characters about themselves. Ian Goodyer, Director of Reydoog Limited the company running the internet dating company Meeting Place said:

"Over the last few weeks, we have been spending a lot of time upgrading and improving the Meeting Place website. Specifically we have:

- Added a private 'notes' section, so that members can keep track of their thoughts about different members
- Made sure that people can still see the (old) profile while of a member waiting the new one is being approved
- Made the profiles more attractive to view
- Made it easier to edit the member details and streamlined the sign up process
- Made it easier to upload a photograph - members can now choose whether they upload the photo online, email it or post it to us.

We have many members who have only completed parts of their profile or who have not uploaded a photo. We wanted to find a way to persuade these members to come back, look at our improved website, and to start searching for matches. We decided the best way to do this was to offer full membership for a limited time. With full membership members can not only search for other members in their area, send a hello to members that they want to contact, and add them to their address-book but also:

- Read any messages other members have sent you
- Send messages to any other member
- Use our 'Fancy a Pint' noticeboard, for example, to arrange a get together in a local pub

As we have many members that have already uploaded a photo and written a lot we have decided to send these members a promotional code giving them free membership without them having to do anything else and we are also extending this offer to any new members that join during June."

Since announcing the offer, Meeting Place have said that the response to the offer has been excellent with many members taking advantage of the full membership offer. "Many existing members have uploaded their photo for the fist time, we are delighted" said Ian Goodyer.
