Actually Accomplishing New Years Resolutions By Writing Your Own Constitution

Eating better; losing weight; earning more money; they'sre all common New Year'ss resolutions that people set and usually forget about a few months later. Yet at the beginning of every year we continue to tell ourselves this is the year. The viscous cycle continues, but in 2009 it will stop for many, and real change will happen.

With the economic downturn, 2009 must be the year for millions of people to accomplish what they need. There'ss a do or die mentality and rampant desperation. But New Year'ss resolutions aren'st going to cut it. Many people need something more concrete; something more thought-out and more motivational; for them writing a personal constitution is the perfect solution.

Personal constitutions are not as common as to-do lists or bucket lists but Andrew Galasetti, the founder and editor of Lyved.com (http://www.lyved.com), is spearheading a movement to get more Americans and people across the world to write their own. Resolutions only scratch the surface of what individuals need to change in their lives's8230; Mr. Galasetti says. Andrew continues, 's8230;and they only focus on the end results. Personal constitutions cover both big and little accomplishments as well as the large and small steps people need to take.

A personal constitution is structured similar to the U.S. Constitution but much more simplified. There is a preamble, which states who the person is and the main reasons why they'sre writing a constitution. Then the main part of the document is broken down into ten sections covering various aspects of a person'ss life, from career to health to family. The end of the constitution is finished with a personal Bill of Rights, outlining such statements as; not listening to those who belittle my dreams.

A personal constitution is not something you create and then only read every few months, like a bucket list, Andrew emphasized. It'ss meant to affect your life immediately as well as in the long run.

To assist others, Andrew and Lyved.com recently published a guide entitled A Personal Constitution: The Way To Make Your Resolutions Stick (http://www.lyved.com/success/a-personal-constitution-the-way-to-make-your-resolutions-stick/) which shows readers how to create their own constitutions. Families can also use it as a guide to create a constitution together to better each other and their household.

Lyved has provided a new way to plan, but it'ss up to the individual to take the action necessary to achieve their goals.
