BSO Music Director James Levine returns to the Tanglewood (www.bso.org) in such Tanglewood highlights as Beethoven's Symphony No. 8 and Ravel's Daphnis et Chlo (August 3), Bartk's Concerto for Orchestra (August 10), Brahms' First Symphony (August 17), and Berlioz' La Damnation de Faust (August 18). For Tanglewood on Parade (August 15), he conducts the Boston Symphony Orchestra in Brahms' Hungarian Dance No. 1 in G minor and Sibelius' Valse triste. Additionally, he conducts Tanglewood Music Center Fellows in three performances of Mozart's Cos fan tutte (August 11, 12, 14). Maestro Levine will also lead the Boston Symphony Orchestra on a two-week, ten-concert European tour August 26 - September 7.
