Concrete Dogs - Living With Your New York City Dog announced the launch of its dog-related community website today. The focus of the website (www.concretedogs.com) is to list and discuss dog-friendly restaurants, bars, hotels, retail stores and more in New York City.
The most popular areas of the website are the sections devoted to dog-friendly restaurants, bars, retail stores, hotels and parks in Manhattan and Brooklyn and the section that lets users
upload pictures of themselves with their city dogs.
Anyone can view the site and registration is free for dog owners and dog lovers who wish to post their own content on the site.
When asked about his motivation for creating the site, web developer Philip Murphy said, I was really tired of having to tie my dog to a tree while I went in to get a cup of coffee or had
to use the restroom somewhere. Some friends of mine expressed similar sentiments so I thought it would be great to create a site where visitors could share dog-friendly locations with
each other.
While the site was born from a desire to share dog-friendly locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn, it also includes discussion areas for health and medical issues, tips and tricks for
raising a happy dog, dog-related items for sale and a place to trade dog-sitting time.
Pet store owners, veterinarians, dog walkers, dog trainers, dog groomers, dog sitters and other dog-related website owners can place a link to their website with contact information free
of charge, providing free traffic and a highly relevant link for search engine optimization (SEO) purposes.
