's8220;Making Strides Against Breast Cancer's8221; walk on Sunday, October 15 at Jones Beach State Park in Wantagh. The 5-mile noncompetitive walk to raise awareness and dollars to fight
breast cancer starts at 8:00 AM at Parking Field #5. Donations are dedicated to life-saving American Cancer Society research, education, patient support, and advocacy programs to defeat

community organizations throughout Long Island. Last year, nearly 44,000 participants joined the event at Jones Beach and helped raise approximately $2.3 million dollars in life-saving
funds, celebrate survivorship and build awareness about the issue of breast cancer and the importance of early detection.
J&B Restaurant Partners and their Long Island Friendly's8217;s restaurants also served as the sponsors for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer kick-off breakfast on August 9. In
addition, the corporation will organize several teams of walkers, distribute promotional literature through their many restaurants and take part in several local activities along with the
American Cancer Society to promote the October 15 walk at Jones Beach.
