of its 's8220;Up North Fishing Tales's8221; essay contest held earlier this summer.
Entrants were asked to express their favorite fishing experience in a 500 word essay. Essays were divided into two categories: one for adults and the other for students.
In the essays submitted, fishermen shared memories of fishing with loved ones, recounted tales of the 's8220;big one's8221; that got away and shared fishing 's8220;bloopers's8221; that
have now become family legends.

Essays were judged and evaluated according to the following criteria:
1) Originality and creativity
2) Writing style
3) Relevance to the topic
