New York, NY June 22, 2009 -- Fodor'ss Travel and Chicago'ss Shedd Aquarium announce the co-sponsorship of a travel photography contest Show Us Your Chicago. Starting June 22nd, 2009, visitors to Fodors.com will have the opportunity to upload and share their favorite photos of Chicago with other travelers and the chance to win prizes, including tickets to Shedd Aquarium, Chicago'ss number one cultural attraction.



Whether you call Chicago your 'ssweet home's or you'sre just visiting, the city has something for everyone. In fact, Chicago is home to so many first-class architectural examples, performances, and activities, that you'sll wonder why it'ss called the Second City. We want to see what makes Chicago special to you. So give it your best shots.



From June 22nd until July 31st, 2009, Fodors.com members are invited to Show Us Your Chicago by submitting their favorite vacation photos, and the stories behind them, of the Windy City. One winning photographer will win four tickets to Shedd Aquarium and ten runners-up will win a Fodor'ss Chico travel bag and a Fodor'ss guide of their choice. The winning photos will be featured in an online gallery at www.Fodors.com and may appear in upcoming editions of Fodor'ss Chicago guides.



We find that user-generated photographs and their stories create a strong connection with the destination and a better sense of the experience you might have when you visit, said Tim Jarrell, Fodor'ss Publisher.



Photo submissions will be accepted at www.Fodors.com through July 31st, 2009. Fodor'ss has previously run contests for Maryland, New Mexico, Costa Rica, California, Florida, Turkey, Israel, and Alaska photos. Winning photos from these contests can be seen on www.fodors.com.
