Award-winning The Lucas Cates Band makes its first appearance on the East Coast in support of their critically-acclaimed sophomore CD, All The Pieces.
All The Pieces is the follow-up to Lucas Cates'ss debut record, Contradictory, on indie label PopBomb Records. Contradictory sold in excess of 2,000 copies, an amazing feat for an Indie
record, and is still selling today. The record was also the recipient of three Madison Area Music Awards. With All The Pieces, Lucas taps into more of a rock sound, and the result is an
eclectic mix of ballads, mid-tempo, and up-tempo numbers that range in style from rock to pop to alternative country to acoustic. The band can expect more MAMA nominations for this
offering. All of the songs on the CD were written by Lucas Cates and arranged by the band, and the CD was independently produced and pressed. The strong musicality of the band is
highlighted on this new disc, with the focal point being the unique, incredible vocal talents of Lucas Cates. Lucas'ss sound has enabled him to move from local player to national and
international touring artist and this incredibly talented young musician continues his push on the national music scene.
Lucas is joined in the band by Kenny Leiser on guitar, violin, and backing vocals; Jesse Warmka on drums and backing vocals; and Mark Noxon on bass. The Lucas Cates Band has successfully
completed six national tours in 2008, with seven national tours already planned and in the works for 2009. Lucas was invited to participate in this year'ss Cutting Edge Music Business
Conference, one of the largest music conferences in the southeast, and performed solo in the New Works Showcase. The full band was invited to participate in the Memphis Music and Heritage
Festival as the sole touring band invited to this year'ss festival. This band is on a meteoric rise to the top.
The Lucas Cates Band'ss East Coast CD Release Tour will begin on February 5, 2009, in Kalamazoo, MI. Confirmed dates for the band include Grosse Pointe Woods, MI; Detroit, MI; Cleveland,
OH; Pittsburgh, PA; New York, NY; Albany, NY; and Cambridge, MA. Two additional dates will be confirmed in the near future. Stay tuned to www.lucascates.com or www.myspace.com/lucascates for more information and specifics on the tour and to
