Jupiter Enhances ControlPoint Suite of Software Applications

Jupiter Systems (www.jupiter.com), the industry leader in Display Wall Processors, today announced enhancements to its ControlPoint's8482; suite of software applications, components, device drivers, control APIs and protocols that are bundled with every Jupiter display wall controller.

ControlPoint v1.9.3 offers support for the new Jupiter Streaming Video Server, with improved support for MPEG-4, lowered video delay through the system as well as better overall performance over a number of transport mechanisms.

The upgrade includes an integrated picture viewing object with slideshow capability, enhanced web viewer object, a quick access toolbar, a projector tuning tool for simpler initial setup with a Jupiter processor, and Remote Cursor integrated within the ControlPoint client interface. Additional improvements include a support information dialog that can automatically send Jupiter support all the information it needs to diagnose system issues.

ControlPoint v1.9.3 ships with every Jupiter Display Wall Processor, the Fusion 980, Fusion 964, Fusion 960, Fusion 940 and the Jupiter VizionPlus. An upgrade kit is available for customers with current software support.

ControlPoint offers an intelligent user interface design with superb ease of use combined with depth of control, customization and extensibility to provide Jupiter customers a comprehensive solution for their control room display wall needs. It is based on the client-server architecture installed on every Jupiter display wall processor and interfaces directly with the hardware and operating system, providing high performance access to Jupiter's8217;s processor functionality.

The proprietary software makes it possible to view and interact with any number of computers remotely to manage and execute all applications installed on the display wall processor, save display wall layouts, and quickly monitor the status of critical components or recall them, and to configure or extend existing control systems.
