Professional Leaders Project Seeks Impassioned Young Professionals Today To Become Tomorrows Leaders Only 4 Weeks to Apply

Who will lead your community in the future Professional Leaders Project (PLP) is now recruiting for the best and the brightest to be the next generation of Jewish leaders. In only four weeks, 85 passionate and accomplished individuals from across the country will be handpicked to be part of PLP, a cutting-edge organization with great success in motivating young professionals to also become community activists. This select group joins PLP's LiveNetworks, an innovative program that provides participants with skills to set the agenda for the future. Applications, which are accepted only once a year, are currently available online at www.jewishleaders.net.

Energizing a Generation

More than three years ago, PLP raised awareness that the baby boomer generation, composing the current crop of accomplished Jewish leaders, is approaching retirement. To fill the impending leadership void, PLP is tapping into the thousands of outstanding 20-30-Somethings who are searching for greater meaning in their careers and volunteer work.

"PLP is the pioneer in preparing a new generation to assume leadership roles in the Jewish community," said Rhoda Weisman Uziel, PLP's executive director. "We target post-college graduates with work experience to build a lifelong network of committed and connected leaders."

How it Works

PLP 'Talent' (extraordinary leaders in their 20s - mid-30s with a passion for Jewish professional and volunteer life) takes on entrepreneurial leadership roles, from chairing national conferences to starting their own organizations. Via LiveNetworks, Talent meet regularly in salon settings to network, develop leadership expertise and tackle challenges facing the Jewish community. They are also part of a dynamic on-line community and build relationships with hand-selected, prominent mentors and coaches based on their goals and interests.

LiveNetworks 2007 kicks-off at ThinkTank3 in Santa Monica, Sunday-Tuesday, October 28-30, 2007. ThinkTank is a Talent-driven and led conference designed to spark conversation and precipitate change in the Jewish community. Participants are some of the freshest thinkers and creative minds coming together as mentors, coaches and Talent.

Proven Success

Ninety-Three percent of LiveNetworks's 2006 Talent report dramatic improvements in their leadership. For stories and profiles of Talent, visit www.jewishleaders.net.
