Violent Robbery Victim Now Forced To Defend Herself In Hudson NH
February 11, 2005 -- On a beautiful November afternoon around 2:00 p.m. Lucie Lacasse returned to her vehicle from a day of shopping and was placing her daughter in the car seat when she realized that she was being watched by individual's a couple of cars away. The driver (her ex's wife) gave a friendly wave and Lucie approached their vehicle to return the greeting. The conversation quickly turned hostile with the perpetrator's screaming obscenities. Lucie , returned to the side of her vehicle and while trying to call 911 the phone was knocked from her hands, she felt a fingernail digging into her eyeball, she was spit on, kicked, and brutally beaten by two women and a man while onlookers at the plaza watched. Lucie states,"I was screaming for someone to help me." When the three perpetrators realized they were being watched they ran back to their vehicle taking Lucie's purse with them. Realizing that her purse was gone, Lucie ran to their vehicle reaching in to grab and lock the steering wheel all the while screaming for them to, "give her back her purse." The driver of the vehicle then rolled up the window on her arms and proceeded to lurch and drag her thru the parking lot. A mailman on his route testified he saw her, "lurch the vehicle four times" and realizing that she was trapped, "I put a stop to it before she was dragged underneath the vehicle and seriously injured." Hudson Police Officer's, SGT Brianchi, and CPL McDonald e-mail police @ hudsonpd.com arrived at the seen to find Lucie in a state of shock and the robbers sitting in the vehicle laughing at her. Their only investigation was to ask the robber's what happened while laughing along with them (Lucie urinated on herself when being dragged by the vehicle) according to the police reports, the witness's statements corroborated the victim's story. They left after issuing a ticket to both parties and ignored the several felonies committed by the perpetrators to include: obstruction of 911 call, mayhem, felony robbery, criminal threatening, and attempted murder. Never did they ask Lucie if she needed medical attention or if her baby was alright. Upon returning to the Police station for photos the following morning, Officer Bianchi stated, "he did not realize how much hair had been torn from her head." A complaint with the NH Attorney General, Kelly Ayotte, (603) 271-3671 investinfo @ doj.state.nh.us about the conduct of both these Officer's has been ignored. The victim's attorney Joseph Gall,(603) 881-5800 of Jordan, Maynard, & Parodi P.L.L.C. in Nashua states, "I am very disappointed with the Hudson Police Dept." and "the Hudson prosecutor, Brenda Lapointe (603) 594-3250 is aggressively pursuing a conviction because of the complaint filed with the Attorney General.
