Hughes Enterprises, Inc. today announced the successful launch of its third and largest Shipping and Packaging Expo, being held at its Trenton headquarters from May 16-18.
On hand are dozens of new products, many being shown for the first time to attendees who are flocking to see the latest innovations in shipping and packaging products and equipment.
While most of the exhibits are inside, 3M has a mobile demonstration van that resides in the parking lot featuring a variety of equipment. Inside the 3M van, attendees can experience live
demos of two of the newest pieces of packaging equipment. Hughes and 3M offer the ability to bring this demo van to a customer site thereby minimizing valuable time spent out of the
office. Inside the exhibit hall, innovations being showcased include: 3M's8217;s ST-1000, just announced this month, which automates the process of stretch wrapping pallets for produce
and other items that need to 's8220;breathe's8221; by leaving 95% of the palletized unit 's8220;open's8221; while constraining it with specially designed stretchable tape. Storopack is
unveiling the Chevron machine for the first time ever 's8211; it is an automated paper packaging system for small to medium sized operations. Wexxar is demonstrating its 505
semi-automatic carton former that allows an operator to place a box in the unit and have it instantaneously formed to be used as a pack station.
Internationally recognized management guru Dr. Herb Greenberg from Caliper spoke on hiring and retaining a winning team on Tuesday, May 16th. Today's8217;s special event is a business
networking function from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A grand prize drawing is scheduled for the closing ceremonies on Thursday at 4:00 p.m.
