January 14, 2005 -- Sygic has just released a software development kit for turn-by-turn navigation with Gotive rugged communicators, powered by Windows CE.NET operating system. This SDK
enables easy integration of navigation functionality into customers' software solutions. Programmers can use their preferred programming language (Visual Basic, C#, C++) to integrate
MapNow! into their applications. Thanks to partnership with Navteq, leading provider of digital road network, Sygic offers its clients the depth, accuracy and coverage needed to enable
turn-by-turn, door-to-door route guidance.
Navteq digital map data contains detailed road geometry, dozens of road attributes for every kilometer, everything from speed restrictions to lane configurations, millions of Points of
Interest - in more than 40 countries.
MapNow! is closely cooperating with Gotive H41/H42 handhelds. Unlike other competitive navigation development kits, MapNow! can utilize the wide half-vga display and add particular
navigation controls directly into customers' existing projects, keeping simplicity on mind.
Thanks to strategic partnership with Navteq, MapNow! uses detailed Navteq digital maps for the whole Western Europe*:
Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK & Ireland
*other countries are available upon request
