UFreight Doubles Up in the UK

In response to significant business growth, U-Freight's8217;s subsidiary in the UK has acquired additional property near Heathrow airport, doubling the size of its existing logistics hub.



The combined office and warehouse facility at Sunbury-on-Thames is the operational headquarters of U-Freight UK Ltd, which has expanded rapidly since it was established in 1999 as U-Freight's8217;s second wholly-owned operation in Europe.



Comments UK Managing Director, Greg Easterbrook: 's8220;Greater involvement in oceanfreight, continued growth in import volumes from China where U-Freight is very strong, as well as increased headcount, has meant that we have needed more office and warehousing space for some time.

When the unit adjacent to our existing facility became available, it presented the perfect solution to the challenge of where and how we should expand.'s8221;



The combined facility provides more than 10,000 sq. ft of office and warehousing, is fully racked and equipped to meet the needs of shippers with transit cargoes, as well as short and medium-term storage requirements.



Coincidental to the move, Michael Elms has been promoted to the position of General Manager, supported by a strengthened sales and operations team.



Other than the UK, U-Freight has subsidiaries in many other countries, together with long standing exclusive arrangements with like-minded partners in the rest of the world, which together offer a range of transportation and logistics services.
