Electronic Artist Machine Boy Releases His Second Single Building a Better Boy A Plugged in Commentary on the Here and Now

Machine Boy's eclectic electronica has won the supoort and play of MTV2's 120 Minutes, Gill Mills's Best of MySpace Podcast, Huw Stevens' BBC Radio 1 'On the Radar' and BBC Radio's Tom Robinson's 'Introducing' show that gets 'close to the music that matters'.

Topical themes of gang violence were at the root of this track. Of his latest offering (already garnering radio play and podcast inclusion), Dean Cook, Machine boy's alter ego said 'Again, it's another vocal driven swipe at our society. How do we solve problems of hatred and violence especially on our streets The lyrics are a recipe; the ingredients for a better humanity.' The accentuation of perceived electronic coldness plus the warmth of the humanitarian lyrics bring Machine boy's music to a new level of consciousness - a plugged in commentary on the here and now.

Electronic music is enjoying a fertile renaissance. It's wide remit is being welcomed from the vocally driven Miss Kittin, to the relentless 'Turning Dragon'. The experimental sound of Machine Boy sits with his contemporaries that stretch from underground hit to mainstream success.

Dean is the mastermind behind the Machine Boy project. His clever imagery and animation add a sense of mystery to the music. He said 'Robots are fashionable! X-Box's Halo 3 bore a striking resemblance to Machine Boy. It's release last year was the largest single-day financial event in entertainment history.' Machine Boy is undoubtedly a Stanley Kubrick fan and it's no accident that 'Building a Better boy' release comes along at the same time as the 2008 Film Odyssey Exhibition at the Barbican - 'Inspiring!' he said.
