Studio City, CA May 9, 2009 -- Suzanne DeLaurentiis Productions is in development for Suffering In Silence, a compelling film about one man'ss struggle to overcome the haunting memory of childhood sexual abuse and violation of trust by his neighborhood priest.
Based on the true life of Stephen Hebert, this complex story exposes the psychological manipulation and legal turmoil of the infamous class action lawsuit in 2006 brought against the Los
Angeles Catholic Archdiocese.
Producer Suzanne DeLaurentiis and writer/director Gary Brockette collaborated with Stephen Hebert on the screenplay. I spent countless hours interviewing Hebert, said Brockette. This is
one of the most interesting characters I have written about.
The film is scheduled to start production this fall.
