The Parker Group Unveils Its New Corporate Identity Under the HealthSmart...



The Parker Group, Inc. is pleased to announce their new corporate identity: HealthSmart (http://www.healthsmart.com) Holdings, Inc. The Parker Group was founded in 1983 by Ted Parker, Chairman and CEO. Through development and acquisitions, the company has grown into a nationwide healthcare benefits organization. In an announcement to the employees Mr. Parker said, Our vision, as an integrated healthcare company, is to be the leading provider of innovative solutions designed to improve member health and reduce costs. As part of our goal, we strongly feel the need to rebrand our company with a common identity across all products and service lines.





The companies that currently comprise and are affected by this name change are: American Administrative Group, Inc., one of the nation'ss largest employee benefit administrators; AmeriScript, Inc., a full-service prescription benefit manager; CareVu Corporation, an information technology provider; Free First Healthcare Clinics, providers of on-site primary care clinics; HealthSmart Preferred Care II, LP, a leading independent PPO in the Southwest U.S.; Emerald Health Network, one of the strongest PPO networks in the Midwest; the Interplan Health Group of Companies, nationally recognized PPOs; and Q-elements, Ltd., a URAC accredited, full-service care management company. Together they, along with a new small group reinsurance partnership, form the new HealthSmart.
