In fact Box Office receipts have done well all Autumn. September at the Hall for Cornwall (www.hallforcornwall.co.uk) broke all records. Takings were 's163;10,000 higher than for any month before.
Director, Tim Brinkman comments, I know that the Hall has an important role to play in the life of the county and I believe that, despite all the gloom-generating in the news, the people of Cornwall are not going to be cast down easily. Shows are booking well into next year as people seem to be investing in keeping their spirits up with some excellent live entertainment.
I'sm looking for more events to cheer and amaze people and good ticket sales mean we can continue to attract top quality entertainment to the region. I can see how much people benefit and get a buzz from seeing exciting live theatre and will be doing all I can to get people out enjoying good things together
This year'ss Christmas offering, the much-loved Cinderella, has all the ingredients for a perfect Christmas show. A professional cast, stunning costumes, terrific music and hilarious comedy - all the qualities that continue to make HfC pantos's a festive tradition for many Cornish people.
