United States Brass and Copper Co. Purchases Guardian Metal Sales

Combining Guardian Metal Sales and United States Brass and Copper brings together two companies with several similarities:

> Both trace their roots to Chicago: Guardian Metal Sales (North side) was founded in 1939, United States Brass and Copper (downtown Chicago) was founded in 1919.

> Both operations are independent service centers specializing in Copper and Copper Alloy Mill Products and have had only one additional owner since inception.

> Both companies have similar business models, purchase from top quality Mill suppliers, and solicit and service the highest quality customers while operating from a strong and consistent inventory position. Both companies promote lasting relationships with customers, suppliers and employees.

In an effort to continue to provide customers with the high quality and personal care expected and received from Guardian Metal and earn the good will and customer loyalty enjoyed by them, United States Brass 's38; Copper is in the process of installing the Guardian Metal computer system and additional slitting and flattening equipment at their plants in Downers Grove, Illinois.

United States Brass and Copper operates from two facilities, a coil/sheet slitting plant at 1418 Centre Circle Drive and a bar/tube plant at 1401 Brook Drive. United States Brass and Copper has recently added Olin Brass Corporation and NGK Metals to their strong supplier base.

All records from Guardian Metal have been transferred to ensure a simple and smooth transition to the United State Brass 's38; Copper company database.
