New York December 9 -- The Stowe Global Coal Index (www.stowecoalindex.com) (TICKER: COAL) will add one new component, effective 9:00 AM (EST) Monday, December 22, 2008. Five stocks will be deleted from the index, changing the number of index components to 38. The changes result from the index'ss quarterly rebalancing. The addition to COAL is:

Indika Energy Tbk PT (TICKER: INDY IJ)

The deletions from COAL are:

CIC Energy Corp (TICKER: ELC CN)

Sentula Mining Ltd. (TICKER: SNU SJ)

Coalcorp Mining Inc (TICKER: CCJ CN)

Darma Henwa PT TBK (TICKER: DEWA IJ)

Synthesis Energy Systems Inc (TICKER: SYMX)
