A new video sharing site specializing in the martial arts has been launched at www.BudoTV.com to connect martial artists worldwide with those sharing an interest in their style while avoiding the impersonal atmosphere common to larger video sharing networks. BudoTV provides users with a place to showcase their work and explore other styles by uploading and watching videos. The site also features a martial arts forum and the ability to create groups to foster a sense of community and provide networking opportunities for like-minded martial artists to interact with each other.

"Martial artists need their own space," says James Liu, founder of BudoTV.com. "There may be plenty of video upload and sharing sites, but they don't offer a specialized audience targeting the martial arts , where users can learn, interact, and share their talents with like-minded people. BudoTV offers martial artists a place to meet others who share similar interests and styles in their art. The site also allows martial artists to explore new styles, while getting to know the people taking part in them."

Featured martial arts styles include karate, judo, aikido, grappling, muay thai, MMA, and self defense. The site also offers martial arts news and tournament videos. Users have the ability to watch martial arts videos in the embedded player, embed videos onto their own sites, or download videos to their hard drive for later viewing. Visitors to the site can view videos without registration. Registration to BudoTV's video sharing service and forum are free, although registered members have the ability to rate and comment on videos on the site.
