The Martial Arts History Museum Shares Knowledge at Pacific Media Expo



The Martial Arts History Museum seeks to preserve and honor the legacy of martial arts pioneers here in the United States.



Scheduled to open in the Fall of 2006 in Los Angeles' Museum Row, The Martial Arts History Museum will house artifacts including uniforms, weapons, shields, championship belts and trophies, among other martial arts remembrances. The Museum will also have sections on martial arts in the media, films, cartoons, and others.



"As part of our commitment to the community, we wanted to make sure we gave back to the institutions that help preserve Asian and Asian American culture," said Mike Tatsugawa, CEO of the Pacific Media Association. "The vision of The Martial Arts History Museum is something we will definitely support and nurture."



The Martial Arts History Museum panels will be part of Pacific Media Expo's Community Programming track. The speakers for the Museum are: film action star James Lew, Hall of Famer Carrie Ogawa-Wong, film director Art Camacho and Museum president Michael Matsuda.
