Susan Cowsill Music Video Premieres on Louisiana Super Station LCNTV

Louisiana'ss Super Station LCN-TV will air the exclusive network premiere of Susan Cowsill'ss Crescent City Snow video this Friday, November 28th at 8:30pm on LCN'ss The Vault. The video is scheduled to air again on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 8 p.m., and on Monday, Dec. 1 at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Susan'ss passionate commitment to New Orleans's struggle for recovery is evident in her powerful Hurricane Katrina song. According to respected sources in the music industry, Crescent City Snow may go down in musical history as the most poignant to come out of the catastrophe.

Rock critic John Swenson wrote, On the opening day of JazzFest 2008 Cowsill'ss most powerful moment came with her dramatic reading of Crescent City Snow--her post-Katrina composition that is fast becoming an anthem for returning New Orleanians.

Cecil Doyle, KRVS Music Director said, Susan has managed to craft a recording that somehow captures Christmas, bittersweet nostalgia, and the weight of memory while still making you smile--maybe even chuckle a time or two. I'sve yet to hear a more personal and heartbreaking tune composed in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and the catastrophe that followed.

I hope this video moves us beyond the sadness and heartbreak and offers a visual celebration of New Orleans's recovery, Cowsill said. We are really excited for the fans to see this video and we have some surprises in it just for them.

Susan does all she can to help maintain national awareness of the vibrant culture of south Louisiana and New Orleans. This is home, I love it, and I am here to stay, Cowsill said.

April 21, 2009 will mark the release of Susan'ss second recording, currently titled Lighthouse. In all, she has appeared on more than 150 albums, amounting to well over 10 million recordings sold.

During Susan'ss decade with New Orleans's roots-pop super group The Continental Drifters, her personally charged songwriting graced three widely acclaimed albums and a decade'ss worth of riveting performances. Susan'ss vocal talents have supported recordings from artists as diverse as Dwight Twilley, Nanci Griffith, T-Rex, Giant Sand, Hootie and the Blowfish, and Carlene Carter. The Bangles and Hootie and the Blowfish have covered her compositions.

Susan'ss 2005 solo album, Just Believe It, is being re-released, remastered and remixed in 2009. The Cowsills--with original members and siblings Bob, Susan and Paul Cowsill--will embark upon a major world tour in early 2009 in honor of the 40th Anniversary of the group'ss 1969 smash hit, Hair.

Susan has contributed many songs to relief effort compilation CDs. Her humanitarian efforts also include working against child abuse and raising awareness about violence against women in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
