Local Infertility Experts Help Couples get on Fertile Ground

May 21, 2005 -- Most couples trying to have a baby begin their journey expecting a less than bumpy road. However,as 6.1 million people find out every year, that 's not always the case. Time crunched and emotionally drained, these couples search for answers, often finding only conflicting, frustrating and confusing messages along the way. Now, for the first time ever, the top local and national infertility experts are coming together to provide couples throughout the greater Houston and Tri-state (NY-NJ-CT) areas the clear direction and answers they need to have a more successful and enjoyable conception experience.

The shows, to be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sheraton Suites-Galleria in Houston on June 4 and the Doubletree-Tarrytown in New York on June 11, are being presented by Milo Media and InFertility Times magazine.

In keeping with the magazine's mission to serve its readers, conference attendees will have the opportunity to win a free in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle.

The On Fertile Ground RoadShow is bringing couples experiencing fertility issues face to face with the most respected infertility specialists from Houston, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Representatives will be available from the Center of Reproductive Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology Associates, Reproductive Medicine Associates of Connecticut, Connecticut Fertility Associates, Reproductive Medicine Associates of New York, CFA Mind-Body Alliance, the International Assisted Reproductive Center, Advanced Reproductive Care, Houston Fertility Institute, Children of the Nations Adoptions, and more.

The mission of On Fertile Ground is to help couples take control, understand their options and develop an effective action plan that fits their individual needs. Topics to be covered include Fertility 101, in vitro fertilization(IVF), financing, coping, alternative treatments, and adoption.

The show is the creation of Mike and Amy Domke, publisher and editor-in-chief of InFertility Times. A survey conducted by the InFertility Times, which is the only magazine created by people struggling with infertility for those struggling with infertility, revealed that infertile couples overwhelmingly asked for an in-person,localized event with national experts, supported by regional and local businesses.

"Our experience tells us that fertility-minded customers,as well as infertility patients, have many unmet needs for comprehensive, unbiased information," said Mike Domke. "We 're combining the expertise of family-building professionals and InFertility Times and bringing information to the people who need it most." Registration for the road show is $45.
