Trialstat Endorses CDISCs Steps to Standardize Clinical Data Interchange

TrialStat Corporation (www.trialstat.com), a clinical data management on demand company, today welcomed the efforts of fellow CDISC (Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium) members to raise awareness and encourage adoption of electronic data interchange and management standards at the CDISC 2006 International Interchange in North Bethesda, Maryland.



During the weeklong conference, CDISC members, who consist of a broad cross-section of public and private sector research organizations, examined current industry practices for standardizing the way clinical data is shared, transferred and managed on different IT platforms. ClinicalAnalytics (CA)'s8482;, TrialStat's8217;s EDC on demand solution, incorporated CDISC features, such as laboratory, operational and study data tabulation models, during the first half of this calendar year for its customers.

CDISC standardization across multiple clinical operating functions will enhance the ability of research organizations to collect and manage data, improving its overall quality and speeding time-to-market for new product development. The Federal Drug Administration has approved CDISC as the standard for electronic data submissions.
